Как же "who is not there to do anything else"? Главное, зачем участники митингов посещают эти митинги -- стремление убедиться ещё и ещё раз в своей силе; подтвердить для себя свою решимость участвовать в этой войне за выживание (во всех смыслах) на данной стороне линии фронта при любых обстоятельствах; и напомнить себе о необходимости сохранить свою власть любой ценой.
