I disagree, and in fact I'm going to be specifically joining my local chapter and being more active because Tom Perez was elected. I was waiting for the election to decide what organizations to spend more time on.

Re: 2018 -- it's extremely unlikely (read: impossible) for dems to regain power then, so expecting it isn't going to help. We need to fight for every seat, but we also need to be realistic about 2020 being the nearest likely point, and so it's a long game, not a "let's do it now," which requires strategy and planning.
